The Argentine Journal of Biological Anthropology publishes original and significant studies in the fields of biological anthropology: evolution and variation, adaptation, morphology, genetics, growth and development, food and health, forensic anthropology and archeology, and primatology. In addition, it publishes topics on social anthropology, archaeology, evolutionary psychology, human geography, demography, ecology, epidemiology, museology, conservation, history and philosophy of science, ethical considerations for working with human biological data, medicine, among others, as long as the contents have an explicit link with some area of biological anthropology. The Argentine Journal of Biological Anthropology (RAAB, ISSN [paper version] 1514-7991; ISSN [online version] 1853-6387) belongs to the Argentine Biological Anthropology Association. It began to be published in 1996 with the aim of disseminating original studies in the fields of Biological Anthropology and related topics. Currently, 2 issues are published per year, including original research, short communications, review articles, technical notes, bibliographic comments, and letters to the editor, on various topics of interest in the specialty. All these works follow the peer review process. In addition, the editors-in-chief publish editorial notes and invite authors to write obituaries and/or articles on special topics.
